Enterprise Rodeo

ON the 21st we went to the 24th of July rodeo in Enterprise. It was pretty fun and the weather was nice and cool. Gracie liked this rodeo too until she and I both got tired. Our rodeo life is a little different than the rodeos I knew growing up. When we go to rodeos, we usually know someone participating, so we have more incentive to stay until the wee hours of the morning.
Gracie finally fell asleep and slept in her carseat through most of the excitement. The highlights of the evening were the beautiful sunset, sitting next to my cute cowboy husband, and watching Gracie play with her granddad.

The picture of Gracie by herself is one of my favorites. She just looks so worried and like she's about to cry. I promise she wasn't that miserable the whole time, but it looks like we were saying "YOU WILL LIKE THE RODEO- OR ELSE"

Family Frenzy

These last few weeks we have had a lot of fun family time with Justin's family. Gracie has enjoyed playing with her cousins and we have enjoyed having more people to visit with and play with in Pine Valley. It has also been raining a lot and we have been very thankful for all of the moisture- it has been an answer to our prayers.
The picture to the left is of Gracie with her cousin Maddie. They are about 8 months apart and Gracie loves following Maddie around. We have noticed that Gracie has been talking more jibberish since she has been around Maddie so much. They just chat back and forth in their little baby language. What we would give to understand them!

This is Gracie with Justin. She loves her dad and especially loves it when he takes her close up to see animals.

This is Gracie with her aunt Carrie riding Buddy. Justin's cousin bought this miniature horse for his son and they have been really great to let all of the cousins go on rides. I love this picture of Gracie because she has such a bewildered look on her face. She did, however, do a really great job of hanging on to the saddle horn and did a lot of smiling.

Gracie had fun swinging in the tire swing and we had a lot of fun over at Grandma Gardner's house with all of the
Gardner family. One of the events of the evening was passing out the awards for the Gardner Family Fitness Frenzy. We have all been in a competition since February and working hard to get points for exercising and eating right. In the end, I (maggie) took 4th place in the individual competition and Jusin and I took 1st place in the group competition along with his parents. It was exciting, especially because it became a close race in the last few weeks of the competition.Add ImageHere is a picture we took of Justin's family. We thought we would hurry and snap a picture while we were all together.

Gunlock Rodeo

Over the weekend of the fourth of July, we went to the Gunlock rodeo. It was a lot of fun and we are happy to report that Gracie really enjoyed it. She even wore her boots and jeans like a true cowgirl.
We also went on a little walk through Gunlock and Gracie tried a few steps of her own (with mom's help, of course).
You can see Gracie's new favorite place to ride is on our shoulders- You can't tell in the picture, but she usually finds some reigns (hair) to hold on to and can stay on pretty well.

Some Valley

This last week we went to Sun Valley, Idaho with Maggie's family. We had a really fun time seeing everyone and Gracie loved spending time with her cousins. We had family pictures taken, went hiking, took "mommy walks", practiced our golf at the driving range, and drove to Idaho Falls to see a baptism and baby blessing. It was a great week. We were happy when our 9 hour drives there and back were over. Gracie did a phenomenal job in the car and got back on schedule pretty fast. She was a little restless during church, but liked "nursery" on the lawn of the Pine Valley Chapel.
I love the picture of Gracie with her uncle Bob. Her mouth is open so wide and she looks like the happiest baby alive.

Jen Moore's Wedding

On June 13th, Jen Moore married Tyler Martin. Jen and I first became friends when we were Sophomores in high school and I have always just loved her. We were really close through high school and then were able to be roommates when I came to BYU my sophomore year of college. We lived together for a year and a half and then we both left on missions. Jen was also my loyal running partner while I lived in Provo.
Anyway, it was all beautiful and I am so happy that she has found the happiness that we always knew she would find. Jen is amazing and her new husband, Ty, is really great too. I'm including some pictures from the happy day.
