One of the "big" things that Justin and I have done most since we got married 3 1/2 years ago is move. We have seemed to be in transition a lot between going to school at BYU, waiting for veterinary school to start, and even just being where work was. One of my friends described us to her dad as being nomads. Hey- we are what we are. Here is the chronology of our moves:
1) Pine Valley (Right after we got married we lived at Justin's parent's place there for 3 months)
2) Provo (We stayed for 8 months for the school year and continued renting the place to return after the summer).
3) Pine Valley and St. George ( We stayed for 4 months working and going back and forth between the two places- Justin was working full time in Pine Valley and I was working full-time in St. George)
4) Provo (Another 8 months- same place as #2, until we both graduated)
5) Pine Valley (Back to Justin's parent's place for a month)
6) Pine Valley (We moved a couple houses up the street and stayed there for 5 months)
7) St. George (We rented an apartment and stayed there for 7 months)
8) Pine Valley (We moved back to location #6 and stayed for 2 months)
9) Fort Collins (We rented a little house and stayed for 5 months)
10) FORT COLLINS (WE MOVED INTO OUR FIRST HOME... Hopefully to stay put until we are done with school-unless we are lucky enough to come home sometime for the summer)
* We are excited and scared to embark on this new adventure. Justin and I have been busy unpacking and nesting . We closed on New Year's Eve and I was secretly (or not so secretly) hoping that all the stress would send me into labor so I could reach my "first baby of the new year" goal. Oh well. I've heard from some sources that they don't even give very good prizes for that anymore (I can find another way to get my name in the newspaper).
Lucky for us, my dad and Bob were driving to Chicago (Bob's doing an internship with Ernst and Young) and they helped Justin move all the heavy stuff. Thanks again. I think the timing worked out better for us than it did for them :) Anyway, we feel very grateful and happy. We'll post some pictures when we get just a little more settled and a few pictures hung.
