Tour de Rexburg- For Meg and Rin

We were blessed to visit Justin's sister Kellie and her family in Rexburg. We had a great couple of days and the time went way too fast. Kellie is a super mom and gave me all kinds of inspiration. The only sad part is that we were so busy having fun I did not snap a single picture of Kellie and Will, their cute house, their cute kids, or anything...except the tour de Rexburg that I took Justin on.

WARNING*** This post may not be exciting to anyone but people who have lived in Rexburg or gone to school there. You can skip this if you want.

Ten years ago, this year, I moved to a foreign town, to live with foreign people, in a frozen tundra. We lived at Royal Crest and had more fun than should be allowed (even without flip flops, overalls, or boys past 10pm). I'll spare you proof of the fun, but indulge me on a walk down memory lane.

I was just bursting with nostalgia as we drove down the streets of Rexburg. This is me by the door to Craigo's pizza (at a new location since I was there). I was going to take Justin there for lunch, but they were closed, due to a power outage in the whole city. "And this is where I gained my freshman 15."Justin was a good sport and I had a great time explaining about life in Rexburg.
Maggie:There's Broulim's, Marinda always had to drive me there because I didnt' have a car.
Justin:You didn't have a car? How did you ever come home?
Maggie: I drove with Megan and Marinda. How else would I know ALL the words to the Morgan High school song?
(thanks Marinda and Meg)

Justin in front of Dr.Will's clinic. Our brother in law works in St. Anthony as a doctor. We got a tour of the clinic (in the dark- the electricity was still out).

The beautiful Rexburg temple.

Thanks! I really love going down that memory lane... such a care free ride. Really I don't think we had any responsibilities. Okay, maybe making it to an occasional class and making sure our apt was decorated cute, but other then that. I am sad that Craigos was closed. It really is a tragedy. Although I wonder if it would have lived up to our memories?? The temple is amazing. I really do need to get up there sometime. I just can't justify driving up there only to do the tour. Thanks for the post. When do I get to come to visit? I'm ready!

In the Valley where skies are so blue... where our hearts are all loyal and true... where's there's joy in the air and good will everywhere, stands a school that we all adore. I'll spare you the rest.

Oh how I miss those days. I will never forget the day that we greeted Marinda when she came home from work by lapping up a bowl of milk like little kittens. Not sure why we thought it was so funny...but we did. And I loved it. Miss yoU!
