I started off this year with a goal to craft more and to finish at least one project each month. I didn't think it would be a problem, seeing how I had about 5 million unfinished projects in my sewing closet. I did a few things and then made some bows for a baby shower. At the baby shower my friends kept telling me that I needed to sell my stuff and so I started making a few things.
Anyway, it has been slow in coming, but this (Paisley Pony) is my new business. I love that the name kind of echos the name of my sister flori's shop, Calico Birdie, because she is one of my great crafting inspirations. I'm selling clips and other handmade gifts as an outlet for my creativity and for something to bring in some extra income.
Today I found a local store who wants to carry some of our (I'm doing this with my friend, Natalie) clips and binky holders. Anyway, we are working to get a website up and will soon have some more fun stuff. It is kind of funny to be here in Colorado because people seem to go nuts for all of the handmade things that Utah is saturated with and you don't really see things like this here.
Super cute headbands with flower and leaf detail.
My adorable model.
This is a bag that I finished making after almost 2 years of sitting in my closet.

So many posts--I had play catch up--fun, fun, fun!
Your stuff looks darling Mag. You really are a great crafter and the first person who ever showed me how to make hair clips for my girls! I am excited for you to get your business growing.

I'm so impressed. Good luck with your new venture!!
Why did we not talk about this?? How fun! I absolutely love the name and design. Who came up with it all? Hope you had a fun Easter in Billings!
So cute! Well done. Just find a solid background to take pics of your stuff on. The headbands got a little lost on the quilt. I too love the name and design. I didn't know calicobirdie was flori. super cool.
