Canning Queen

We have been busy preserving food for the last few weeks. We froze some corn that we got from the church farm in Greeley and then I made applesauce from some apples I picked for free from some craigslist people. It was fun and I am happy now to have my corn, my applesauce, and the beans I canned with Carrie before I left Pine Valley.

P.S. The title reminded me of "dancing queen" by Abba.
You can freeze, you can can- having the time of your life.
Ohhhhh- feel the love, live the dream
you are the canning queen.
(but really I'm not- I know there are people in the world who can butter. Surely, they must be the canning queens...or kings).

Did you mean to say can "butter" or "better"? My friend knows people who have canned cigarettes in their food storage so they can barter them when the world ends. weird.

I love all your posts Maggie! So cute. The one with Gunner in the toilet made me laugh out loud.

Oh...ms. maggie I so enjoyed catching up with you, I check everyday to see if you've posted any news. Loved the canning queen, I was her at one time but I have passed on the crown. So good to see life is as busy as ever, hope you're feeling good.

Your amazing Maggie! I must follow your example tomorrow! My beans are going limp in the fridge and my apples are starting to smell not so fresh. Singing the Canning Queen song may help! Keep up the great work!
