They will take her off milrinone today (to make the heart not work so hard). They will also put her back on her lasix (diuretic)to help her pee off some of the swelling. Her drainage looks good too. I've heard her cry and she has opened her eyes a couple of times but she is moslty really sleepy.
They took out the IV in her foot but she has an IV in her neck, her left hand, 3 heart monitor stickers, a pulse/ox on her toe, stickers to measue oxygen on her brain and kidneys, oxygen in her nose, a drainage tube from her chest, a urine catheter, and bandages from the surgery.
Because of all the tubes, I haven't held her yet, but I should be able to hold her later today. Most of those things will also be off by later today or tomorow. They will leave ab IV in to keep giving her medicine though so she doesn't need to be poked repeatedly.

So glad that you're this far! We won't stop praying though...
This picture makes me cry...I prefer the "Happy Maisy getting ready for surgery" picture, but I'm SO glad that it's now recovery mode...
Oh, and I'm glad that she now gets a blanket. :)
Sweet, sweet Maisy. I can't wait for you to hold her! We continue to pray for you all and the best recovery for Maisy.
Thanks for all the updates Mags. She really is the sweetest little thing. I hope today goes well and that you are holding her right now!
Talk to you soon!
Poor baby! I prefer the happy picture too...but thanks for the updates and keeping us posted. It is hard to wonder what is happening and nice to know that it is going well!
Oh man, you are a ROCK! I'm so glad she is okay.
